This episode also introduces the character Susan who became a key figure in later seasons. The meta humor here is deep, and the phrase “a show about nothing” eventually came to characterize Seinfeld itself. After a long night of brainstorming, and waiting till the last minute, the two decide to create “a show about nothing” that encapsulates their daily lives.
